Video Portrays Experiences of Young People in Digital Age
by Jenny Corke

On Friday, November 4, at 6:30 p.m., the Andover community gathered to celebrate the relaunch of Born Digital: How Children Grow Up in a Digital Age by John Palfrey, head of school, and Urs Gasser, professor of practice at Harvard Law School and executive director of the Berkman Klein Center for Internet & Society. Focal points of the event included a discussion on the creative dimensions of young people’s lives, as multifaceted learners, civic leaders, innovative entrepreneurs, and playful creators. Participants offered their ideas about shaping social and educational environments that are responsive to both the opportunities and challenges afforded by the digital age. Students surprised the crowd with the following video about their own experiences.
