Mindful Performance

Whether students hope to overcome obstacles in their sport(s) or in some other aspect of their lives where they perform, learning strategies to improve mental well being is important. And these strategies aren’t limited just to athletics, students can use them anytime—getting ready for a test, participating in a math debate, engaging in the performing arts, or any other situation that calls upon them to do their best. In her project, Lani Silversides will explore how mindfulness can improve student performance, contributing and expanding on the mindfulness work already being done on campus.
