Anti-Racist Advocacy in Education Systems
Fellow
Allen Grimm, Instructor in Theater and Dance
Through his Tang Institute project, Fellow Allen Grimm will explore the many facets of anti-racist education. Central to this work is an examination into our own history with race and racism - both as individuals and as an institution - as we seek to learn about, promote, and support anti-racist work in our classrooms. An ongoing goal of this project is to “build community through conversation,” including supporting Andover’s White Anti-Racist Educators (AWARE) group, a convening for white adults on campus to explore issues of whiteness and privilege.
